OverviewThe Clinical Laboratory Technician is responsible for
performing standard laboratory procedures within the assigned
department/laboratory. The Clinical Laboratory Technician will
analyze data and may assist with research and development. This
incumbent will be relied upon to follow laboratory protocols and
maintain high quality levels.Shifts:
- Wednesday-Saturday 12:00pm-10:30pm
- Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm
- Sunday-Thursday 6:00am-2:30pm
- Saturday-Tuesday, 12:00pm-10:30pm Essential DutiesInclude, but
are not limited to, the following:
- Perform high complexity laboratory tests, procedures, and
analyses according to the laboratory's standard operating
procedures.
- Meet productivity and TAT expectations.
- Maintain a high level of quality in test processes and
results.
- Ability to identify problems, notify supervisors and describe
circumstance or contributing factors.
- Achieves and maintains competency on required high complexity
laboratory tasks.
- Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective
equipment and safety requirements.
- Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System
policies and procedures.
- Understand the various laboratory equipment and reagents used
within assigned department.
- Ability to use various types of laboratory equipment; including
blades, strainers, and pipettes for extended periods of time.
- Receive and satisfactorily complete basic training on
laboratory software and programs.
- Maintain a clean work area in accordance with standard
laboratory practice and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with clients and colleagues by using appropriate
interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

- Ability to work in front of a computer for up to 90% of a
typical work day. Ability to work standing for approximately 90% of
a typical work day.
- Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and
forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.
- May perform repetitious actions using lab tools.
- Ability to use near vision to view samples at close range.
- May be exposed to hazardous materials, tissue specimens, and
instruments with moving parts, lasers, heating and freezing
elements, and high-speed centrifugation.
- Participate in continuing education and staff meetings.
Responsible for own professional development. Minimum
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or
biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an
accredited institution or equivalent laboratory training and
experience as defined:
- 60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution
that, at a minimum, includes either 24 semester hours of medical
laboratory technology courses, OR 24 semester hours of science
courses that include six semester hours of chemistry, six semester
hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology, or
medical laboratory technology in any combination.
- Authorization to work in the United States without
sponsorship.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the
position with or without accommodation.
- Professional working knowledge of local, state, and federal
laboratory regulations.Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or
clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an
accredited institution.
- For degrees not in those listed above: 90 semester hours which
must include 16 semester hours in chemistry (6 of which must be in
inorganic chemistry); 16 semester hours in biology courses; and 3
semester hours of math.
- Experience in molecular testing.
- Strong grasp of molecular biology and genetics techniques and
principles.Salary Range:$38,000.00 - $60,000.00 The annual base
salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Marshfield
on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible,
and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on
